Terms of Use

Terms for using this documentation site and how they relate to the TMA Cloud software license.

Effective date: October 1, 2026

These terms apply to your use of the TMA Cloud documentation site at tma-cloud.github.io/Wiki (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

The software and its license

The TMA Cloud software is open source and licensed under the MIT License. Your use of the software is governed by that license, not by these terms. If the two conflict, the license wins for anything about the software.

Using the documentation

You may read, link to, and share the Site freely. Commands, configuration snippets, and code examples in the documentation may be copied and used in your own deployments and projects without attribution.

The TMA Cloud name, logo, screenshots, and demo videos identify the project. Do not use them in a way that suggests your product, service, or fork is the official TMA Cloud project or is endorsed by it.

Running TMA Cloud

When you install and run TMA Cloud, you are the operator of that instance. You are responsible for:

  • Securing the server, secrets (such as JWT_SECRET and FILE_ENCRYPTION_KEY), storage, and network access.
  • Backing up your data and encryption keys. Lost encryption keys mean lost files; the project cannot recover them.
  • Complying with laws that apply to you and your users, including data protection laws, and giving your users your own privacy notice and terms.
  • Deciding whether to trust desktop app downloads. Desktop builds are unsigned by default; download them only from the project's releases page or a server you control.

Accuracy

The documentation is written for the current release and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong for your version or environment. Test changes in a non-production environment before relying on them. Corrections are welcome in the Wiki repository.

The Site links to and embeds content from third parties, including GitHub and YouTube. The project does not control that content and is not responsible for it. Your use of third-party sites and services is subject to their terms. See the Privacy Policy for what those services receive.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Site to:

  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its hosting.
  • Misrepresent yourself as the TMA Cloud project or its maintainers.

GitHub's Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policies also apply to the Site because it is hosted on GitHub Pages.

Reporting security issues

Report vulnerabilities in TMA Cloud privately through GitHub security advisories on the main repository, not in public issues.

No warranty

The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the TMA Cloud project, its maintainers, and its contributors are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including data loss, downtime, or security incidents, arising from your use of the Site or from following its instructions. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. Changes take effect when published on this page, and the effective date above will change. The full history is public in the Wiki repository. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Contact

Questions about these terms can be raised as an issue in the Wiki repository.
